Reporting To: Senior Facilities Account Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Facilities Account Manager to lead the delivery of our Integrated Facilities Management contract at a private hospital. You will be responsible for the overall contract performance, engineering operations, customer satisfaction, financial management, and leadership of the site team while ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the hospital's critical engineering infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall delivery of the IFM contract and ensure contractual KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of critical engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, generators, UPS, plumbing, fire protection systems, Building Management System (BMS), and associated building services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital management and serve as the primary point of contact for all operational and contractual matters.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Engineers, Chargemen, Supervisors and Technicians to deliver high-quality engineering services.
- Plan, monitor and review Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and statutory inspections to ensure maximum system reliability and compliance.
- Manage specialist contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor site budgets, operational costs and contract profitability while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, hospital safety requirements, company HSE policies, Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO and HIRARC procedures.
- Prepare monthly operational reports, KPI dashboards and customer review presentations.
- Support contract renewal, service enhancement initiatives and business growth opportunities within the customer account.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management, engineering maintenance or M&E services, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Experience managing outsourced IFM or engineering maintenance contracts in hospitals, healthcare, commercial buildings, industrial or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of M&E facilities services will be added advantage
- Proven leadership, customer relationship management and contract management experience.
- Good commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and contract performance.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Malaysian statutory requirements and occupational safety regulations.
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Registered HT Chargeman, Certified Energy Manager (CFM), Green Book SHO or other relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
