M&E Project Manager
(Facilities Management / Semiconductor Manufacturing Plants)

Position Summary
The M&E Project Manager will be responsible for managing Mechanical & Electrical projects, and technical service delivery for semiconductor manufacturing plants and critical facilities environments.
This role requires strong technical competency in HVAC and M&E systems, project execution capability, client management skills, and hands-on experience in industrial facility operations. The successful candidate will lead site execution teams, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, and ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Management
- Plan, manage, and execute M&E projects and maintenance activities at customer facilities.
- Coordinate site activities including manpower planning, scheduling, subcontractor management, and material control.
- Ensure projects are delivered within timeline, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for management and clients.
- Attend project coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage shutdown works, upgrading projects, retrofits, and critical maintenance activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical proposals.
- Support testing, commissioning, and performance verification activities.
- Recommend improvement initiatives for system reliability and energy efficiency.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHA/DOSH requirements, safety procedures, and client EHS policies.
- Conduct toolbox briefings, risk assessments, and permit-to-work coordination.
- Ensure all works comply with engineering standards, statutory regulations, and cleanroom protocols where applicable.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and safety improvement initiatives.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain good working relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Provide technical recommendations and support to customers.
- Handle site issues, technical concerns, and operational escalations professionally.
- Support quotation preparation, technical proposals, and cost estimation when required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Building Services Engineering
- Facilities Engineering
- Or related engineering discipline
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience managing site projects and M&E subcontractors is preferred.
- Experience in critical environment operations will be an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge in HVAC/ACMV systems.
- Good understanding of:
